Meowntain Privacy Policy

The short version: it stays on your device.

Meowntain is made by MSX Software. This policy explains what the app does with your data. The short version is above, and the rest is just detail.

What Meowntain reads

With your permission, Meowntain reads two things from Apple Health: the number of flights of stairs you climb, and the elevation gained during workouts. During an optional live session, it also reads your device's barometer and motion activity to measure vertical travel precisely. It uses this information to show your progress up a virtual mountain.

What Meowntain does with it

Everything is processed and stored on your device. Meowntain has no user accounts and makes no network connections — there is no server to send your data to, and none is sent. Your health data is never uploaded, shared, sold, or used to advertise to or track you.

What Meowntain stores

Your climb history and app preferences are saved locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage. Deleting the app removes this data. Meowntain does not keep backups of your data on our systems — we don't have any.

Third parties

Meowntain uses no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The app includes the Unity engine solely to draw its animation; it is not used to collect data.

Children

Meowntain does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
