Why Meowntain
Climbing you already do, made into a journey.
You take the stairs. You walk up hills. Meowntain notices — quietly — and turns that vertical distance into an expedition, so the effort you'd forget becomes a mountain you remember.
Effortless
No "start workout." It counts your flights climbed and hikes in the background, even with the app closed.
Real destinations
A ladder from a harbour bridge to Mount Everest to the edge of space — each one a real place, climbed for real.
A companion, not a dashboard
The Meowntain Explorer climbs with you — boop it and it purrs, leave it be and it naps under the stars.
Private by design
No account, no server, no network. Your health data is read on-device and never leaves your phone.
Cozy, not competitive
No leaderboards, no streak guilt. Just your own quiet climb, at your own gentle pace.
Something to show for it
A shelf of summit patches, a history of every metre, and a little celebration each time you top out.
The mountains
Every landmark, hand-painted for the climb.
From the everyday to the absurd — a night-time world you ascend one stairwell at a time.

How it works
Open it once. Then just live your day.
Set base camp
Grant Apple Health access once. From that moment, your climbing counts — no setup, no logging.
Climb your day
Stairs at work, a hill on the way home, a weekend hike. Meowntain reads the vertical travel automatically.
Watch the cat climb
Your progress moves the Explorer up the current mountain, day by day, metre by metre.
Summit & celebrate
Top out and the confetti flies. A patch joins your shelf, and the next peak begins.
Questions
Good to know
How does Meowntain track my climbing?
It reads the vertical distance you already travel — flights of stairs and workout elevation from Apple Health, plus the iPhone barometer during a live hike — and turns it into upward progress. Counting is passive and works in the background, even with the app closed.
Does it need an account or the internet?
No. There's no account, no login, and no server. Everything is computed and stored on your iPhone, and nothing is ever sent off the device.
Is my health data private?
Completely. Meowntain reads Apple Health data on your device to measure vertical travel and never transmits it anywhere. There is no analytics and no tracking of any kind.
What can I climb?
A ladder from the everyday to the absurd — the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Eiffel Tower, Uluru, the Burj Khalifa, Mount Fuji, Mont Blanc, Kilimanjaro, Mount Everest, an airliner's cruising altitude, and the Kármán line at the edge of space — plus descents like the Grand Canyon and the Mariana Trench.
Is it a fitness app or a game?
Both, gently. It's a cozy companion rather than a hardcore tracker — no leaderboards, no guilt — that quietly rewards the climbing you do anyway, with a cat along for the journey.
How much does it cost?
Meowntain is free. It's an independent app from MSX Software, coming soon to the App Store for iPhone.
